The Fauzi Kanoon Team is led by Warrant Officer Girish Gaur (Retd.), a seasoned military law professional and legal expert with extensive experience in handling complex litigation and service matters concerning Armed Forces personnel.

Being a Legal Air Veteran and possessing an in-depth understanding of Military Law from within the system, he carries not only professional expertise but also genuine empathy, compassion, and unwavering commitment towards fellow veterans and serving personnel. His firsthand experience of military life enables him to understand the hardships, sacrifices, administrative challenges, and legal struggles faced by defence personnel and their families.

This unique combination of military background and legal acumen allows him to approach every case not merely as litigation, but as a mission to secure justice, dignity, and rightful entitlements for those who served the Nation with honour.

Professional Experience

During his distinguished tenure in the Indian Air Force, he held several important legal appointments across India and handled litigation before various courts, tribunals, and legal forums.

Directorate of Air Veterans, New Delhi

IC – Legal Cell

Handled complete Air Force litigation encompassing pensionary and veterans’ matters. Coordinated and interacted with legal authorities and legal luminaries from Directorate of Ex-Servicemen Welfare (DSEW), Indian Army, Indian Navy, and Indian Air Force. Provided extensive legal assistance in disability pension cases, service pension disputes, family pension matters, and veterans’ welfare litigation.

Air Force Legal Cell, Chandigarh

IC Legal Cell & Court Officer at AFT (RB) Chandigarh

Represented the Indian Air Force before the Armed Forces Tribunal (Regional Bench, Chandigarh), High Court of Punjab & Haryana, and Central Administrative Tribunal (Regional Bench, Chandigarh).

Maintenance Command, Indian Air Force, Nagpur

In Charge – Legal Cell

Managed all legal matters under the jurisdiction of Maintenance Command spread across India, including all Base Repair Depots (BRDs). Oversaw litigation, legal advisory functions, and service-related disputes concerning multiple Air Force establishments.

Air Force Station Kalaikunda

In Charge – Legal Cell

Served at the Air Force Legal Cell responsible for legal matters pertaining to West Bengal, Odisha, and Jharkhand. Handled litigation before High Court at Calcutta, Armed Forces Tribunal (Regional Bench, Kolkata), and Central Administrative Tribunal (Regional Bench, Kolkata).

Handled litigation matters before local courts and the High Court of Judicature at Allahabad. Provided legal support and representation in service and administrative matters.
